AION 2 Steam Best Seller: Rank, Release, and Access

See why AION 2 reached Steam Global Top Sellers, what the ranking means, and how Advanced Access, preload, and the October 5 launch work today.

Why AION 2 Is a Steam Best Seller

AION 2 is attracting a sharp burst of Steam searches because the official Steam announcement reported that it reached No. 1 on Steam Global Top Sellers and No. 1 in 13 countries, including the United States, Germany, France, and Brazil.

That ranking is a current storefront signal, not a permanent review or player-count guarantee. Steam Top Sellers can move quickly as Founder Packs, Advanced Access purchases, and launch activity change. The useful question is what a player can do on Steam right now.

Steam signal	What it means
No. 1 Global Top Sellers announcement	AION 2 had the highest current sales momentum in the reported Steam ranking window
No. 1 in 13 countries	Demand was broad across multiple regional storefronts
Advanced Access On Now	Eligible Founder Pack owners can play before the general launch
Preload available	Players can install the full client before launch
October 5, 2026 release date	General global launch date shown on the official store page

AION 2 Steam Access: Free Game or Founder Pack?

The base AION 2 game is listed as free to play for the October 5 global launch. Founder Packs are optional purchases that provide Advanced Access and their listed rewards. Buying a pack is therefore a decision about earlier entry and bundle contents, not a requirement to play the base game at global launch.

Player situation	Best next step
You want to play during Advanced Access	Compare the live Founder Pack editions and access terms
You only want the free launch	Preload the base game and wait for October 5
Friends already started	Confirm the same region, faction, server, and platform plan
You are comparing Steam and PURPLE	Use the platform with the account and client workflow you prefer

Steam and PURPLE share the same in-game content. Account linking is only needed if you want to use the same character and progress across both platforms.

AION 2 Steam Release and Preload

The official Steam listing shows October 5, 2026 as the release date and currently provides preload access. Steam may show a relative countdown for your region, so check the live store page rather than converting a screenshot from another country.

Before launch:

Open the official AION 2 Steam page while signed in to the account you will use.
Start preload and keep room for the launch patch.
Confirm that you installed AION 2, not the separate playtest application.
Check the latest Steam announcement for maintenance or account fixes.
Decide on region, faction, server, and a backup world with your group.

Does the Best Seller Ranking Mean AION 2 Is Free?

No. A free-to-play base game can still appear in a sales ranking when it has paid Founder Packs, access bundles, or other Steam purchases. The ranking indicates storefront sales momentum during the measured period; it does not mean every item is free or that the ranking will remain unchanged.

Read the current edition contents and local price before purchasing. Pay particular attention to the Advanced Access period, membership time, bound cosmetic items, and regional store terms.

Steam Reviews and the Best Seller Signal

Sales ranking and user reviews answer different questions:

Metric	What it answers
Top Sellers ranking	How strongly the product is selling in the current storefront window
User reviews	How reviewers describe their experience and satisfaction
Concurrent players	How many Steam players are online at a given time
Wishlist or followers	How much future interest the store page has accumulated

Do not use the Top Sellers position as proof of long-term retention, final class balance, or stable server performance. Read the current review summary and recent comments alongside the official notices.

If Steam Access Does Not Work

If the game is visible but does not launch, use this order:

Confirm Steam finished downloading and applying updates.
Restart Steam and check the live release label.
Make sure the Founder Pack purchase and game launch use the same account.
Check official announcements for maintenance, queue, or entitlement issues.
Contact official support with the exact error text if the issue remains.

Do not use a queue bypass, launcher replacement, account-linking form, script, or unofficial download. These cannot create a Steam entitlement and can expose your account.
